Drawing on works of painting, print, photography, and sculpture from the Crawford collection, THE 1916 TRAIL illustrates the move towards Irish independence from the
United Kingdom against the backdrop of the First World War and aims to both illuminate the social and political complexity of the Irish Revolutionary Period and to stimulate reflection and debate a century on.
