Portraiture and Silhouettes
Calling all grandchildren and grandparents, these sessions are especially for you!
Session 1: 11.00am–12.30pm
Session 2: 2.00–3.30pm
Join artist Gillian Cussen for a free and open drawing session to celebrate Bealtaine. Sketch, colour, collage and doodle using The Art of Silhouettes exhibition as inspiration.
No experience is required, all materials supplied, and all are welcome

Sketch in the Sculpture Gallery

Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned sketcher, join figurative-artist, Helle Helsner, in the Sculpture Gallery to celebrate Drawing Day. Take inspiration from the wonderful selection of figurative casts that hail from the Vatican collection. Follow in the footsteps of students who have used the sculptures to hone their skills since 1818.
Initiated by the National Gallery in 2005.
Drawing Day is a nationwide event started in 2004, which is held in partnership with national, regional and local museums, libraries, cultural and arts centres.
