Draw from Nature
Session 1: 11.00am - 12.30pm
(Family Friendly Session)
All are welcome to join artist Gillian Cussen in the gallery to explore shape, patterns and texture found in nature. Explore a range of drawing materials or experiment with scale using magnifying glasses!
Session 2: 2.30 - 4.00pm (Ages 14+)
Sketch with a variety of dry drawing materials, graphite, charcoal and pastels. No experience is required, all materials supplied, and all are welcome.

Whether you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned sketcher, join artist, Helle Helsner, in the Sculpture Gallery to celebrate Drawing Day. Take inspiration from the historic collection in a unique setting. Follow in the footsteps of students who have used the sculptures to hone their skills since 1818!
Initiated by the National Gallery in 2005/ Drawing Day is a nationwide event started in 2004, which is held in partnership with national, regional and local museums, libraries, cultural and arts centres.
