Public Talk: Sheela-na-Gig 3D
Thursday 23 August, 6 – 7 pm
Sheela-na-Gigs are medieval stone carvings of naked women exposing their genitals. The carvings appear in both religious and secular buildings across Ireland. The Sheela-Na-Gig 3D Project creates a digital record for researchers and our local communities.
Orla-Peach Power will lead this talk and it is part of the public talks programme accompanying the exhibition Naked Truth: The Nude in Irish Art.
